when I was but a prepubescent tadpole i always watched dbz but in retrospect dragonball had a much better plot and I remember it being more adventure and less POWER UP FOR WEEKS AT A TIME.

that's what made me appreciate dragonball a lot more than dbz, nothing felt predictable and it was always fun and oh my god the characters

My stoic I Only Watch Good Shows College Kid is won over by the 12 year old DB/Z fan in me.
I really would have loved to see Vegeta in Dragonball, even if it would have made no sense, purely because every character in DB was well-developed and amusing back when Toriyama still cared.
And it might detract from the I'm gonna cut my hair mysteriously grow 2 feet taller and boink Bulma aw jeez
