I realized I hadn't posted a picture of my rats since they all got big! So here they are in the cage I have for them at home and all grown up...plus two more. Haha. I actually have a 5th now.

And those cage dimensions said it would be okay for 6 rats, plus I give them plenty of out cage time with lots of toys :)

Hm, I just hadn't read that anywhere in all my rat research. They certainly have all their own space in the cage though. The only thing they ever fight over is treats because some eat faster than others and get jealous.
When I get a bigger apartment and have some more money, I plan on building them something like this:

I wish I could give that to them now. I spoil them as much as I can lol. They have their own "rat hotel" in a room of my apartment...a huge cardboard castle pretty much.
