YCH for Magarnan and Anbessa
I wanted to do a complex pic, to portray leo and scarlet, to work with a painful amount of details, and do celebrate a cultural anniversary... and decided to put everything together. Thanks to both the commissioners for letting me work once again and... a special thanks to Mag cause actually the major part of what you see here is based on digressions from streamings and brainstorming.
Of course this is anothe picture the Venice story.
Enjoy finding everything and guessing "why". Because nothing is random this time XD
Also, the fire-helbard does not show but left a track somewhere...

so very epic. :)
wonder what Arensnuphis did that they want to get him dead or alive... probably stole some doge's main key or something. :)
also, Leo's tattoo. looks a bit like how people back when used to illustrate books on unusual critters.
I might be able to identify the blueprint on the chimneystone. one of Leo's many weapon designs? :)
also, Scarlet looks awesome in her oufit. :) did she leave that hot handprint on the table? wouldn't wonder if she did. :)
and last but not least, the painting. :) great lighting. very classic. <3
than ks so much for all the arts and patience!

XD dunno, just hope scarlet won't need the reward
Or maybe it's because he supported the rebellion xD (the long live the King piece)
Leo's tatoo is one of Leo's sketch xD
And, no it's not a weapon at all xD but it's something I'll build in my fireplace when I'll have one.
Of course she did!
You're welcome!

now that FA sized the view up I can see the sketch better. looks like a ventilator using the venturi-effect to drive a gear down there, and a belt-drive, maybe to blow up the fire, or make sure the piglet is fried evenly...
and what is that bullet doing in the cement nearby? one shot at glory? :)
and then there is that oversized crossbow...
come to think of it that ventilator up the chimney idea has recently been used for a kind of air-driven powerplant for uninhabitable desert places... I wonder how far they've come.
and how many more ideas Leo had are beign used nowadays without anyone noticing. differential and gearbox come to mind immediately.

Leonard de Vinci machinery appearing at the far right? The guy with the crazy flying contraptions -and so much more.
The "Fleur de Lys", symbole of french kings, Byzantin empire, and Lombard Kingdom, among many other;
For some reason the blue gems on the furnace made me think of "Les epoux arnolfini" but they clearly are no reference to them.
The fruits, flower and music instrument are reference to the passion theses old artists had for studying still life (but also music)
Isn't the dagger on the far left the one Mag got hit by some traitor in a previous piece?
Great work!

Beautiful!
I still have to find all the details, 'cause I'm on my phone, but I love, LOVE Scarlet working at the forge It fits her, hespecially how she can handle red-hot steel with bare hands - or is she even heating it? And judging by her expression and the burnt hand print on the table she must have been the voice of reason in a plan too bold XD
