After posting my naga information journal, I decided to go and draw the head types as well. I'll be adding in the hood types later in the future.
These are drawn with a forest hood (heart) and a female-sized one at that to show off the head shapes better.
Default:
Common in forest and desert locations. Head is widen and broad, almost python-like in shape. Majority of naga tend to have this head shape.
Regal:
Common in desert locations. A thinner head with a large chin that helps for burrowing and burting in the sand.
Needle:
Common in desert and oceanic locations. A similar head to the default one but with a longer nose-tip, a more dynamic and sleek head-shape, helps with going through the water and sand.
Roman: Common in forest and arctic locations. The thicker nose bridge helps fur smashing through the ice and water, as well as widening the nostrils for deeper breaths.
Shark:
Common in oceanic and volcanic locations. The sleek head is narrow and triangular in appearance, helps for water travelling and burrowing through the hot sands. Despite its name, it's the weakest of the jaw types and mostly found in female naga.
Rex:
Uncommon but found in all locations. These headtypes are strong and sturdy and great for bashing. However, because of their density, the mouth is quite heavy and these naga cannot swallow large meals. DEspite this, these heads are often founnd on larger male naga.
Rectangular:
Common in all areas. Much like the default head, this head type is relatively the same, only somewhat wider. These noses are generally tipped slightly.
Python:
Uncommon in volcanic, forest, and desert locations. The muzzle is shorter but strong, usually filled with a ton of teeth. Similarly to the Rex head, these naga cannot swallow large meals BUT they can constrict quite strongly.
Dragonic:
Rare inn all locations. The dragonic head is exactly what it sounds like, a massive, sturdy head with strength and width. These naga are usually ancient and powerful, and as a result, their heads are large to accommodate it. Some naga with these head types even start to mutilate their hoods to appear more horn-like.

Sooo...I'm mostly commenting because it's a small pet peeve of mine, and if this is like YOUR canon, vs all nagas in general, I can understand it's YOUR IP, for a specific canon, and won't go beyond that, but not...all nagas should have a hood.
not all snakes have hoods, in fact ONLY cobras have hoods. hence the pet peeve about nagas drawn with hoods. granted they tend to look wierd with nothing, but, it's almost like drawing cats without fur. just because there's one or two breeds of cat without fur...it'd be silly to define ALL cats by just one or two.

All my nagas have hoods, that's why :) You're welcome to dislike my canon and have your own hoodless nagas.
I love snakes and I know that they don't all have hoods; in MY canon, it helps make them more expressive since snakes can't move their mouths or eyes. They're meant sort of like a cat's or dog's ear in that they can move this way or that to express emotions.
