And here we see Hugo, his fur roughed up a bit, putting on his best imitation of what a hulking wild gorilla should look like in a wrestling ring.
Hugo: The second most dominant male from a band of gorillas originating in the African Congo, he was selected to be part of a South African corporate-led scientific experiment into enhancing animal intelligence, strength and subservience for the purpose of being used as an alternative labor resource. The experiment resulted in the gorilla being given human-level intelligence, human language-capable vocal chords, and highly enhanced musculature, however efforts at a subservient personality failed as the gorilla became self-aware almost immediately. However, he was also empathetic and non-hostile, leading a group of scientists to sue the corporation and advocate for the rights of intelligent non-human species (whether naturally or artificially gifted with sentience). The case won in favor of the scientists, and the gorilla was released to an advocacy group that worked closely with superheroes, offering him the opportunity to find employment and a satisfactory life. Eventually he found an offer given to him by the wealthy philanthropist who helped fund the experiment which gave Hugo consciousness in the first place, and he now resides as a valet to Donovan, and business partner to their illustrious organization.

Ho ya! There are three 'universes' I have at the moment, Modern Superhero, Fantasy Medieval, and Shadowrun. Hugo exists in the Modern Superhero universe, and the group all these characters is basically an excuse for them all to wrestle--in the ring or out of it!
Like all great pro-wrestlers however, the characters here all convey an in-ring personality. Hugo may be the tame professionally tailored suit-wearing type, but in the ring he plays the wild, bordering-on-savage ape he's originated from!

What a delightful image. He really is a sight such a stud and quiet the imposing figure in the ring. Downright frightful seeing him on the top turn buckle like that can only imagine the finishers he can do from up there with that size, power and flexibility. And have to say I do love gorillas they are a clear favorite of mine. And he is such a beautiful example as to why. So stunning, so manly, hairy in all the right places and so muscular. Love how you caught the feel of a good house show with the dimmed lights and the more intimidating feel rather than the fancy glitzy look of the televised stuff. Really shows the character off better and shows they don't need glitz or glamour to stand out from the crowd. Great job as always you really have a knack for making epic feeling scenes. ^_^
Smaller venue, closer arena, tighter lighting, all lend a much more intimate feel to the match...!
But hey, as always I totally appreciate the compliment brother! Your detailed analyses are always fantastic to read! Good for an ego boost I suppose, hurr--but more importantly in my opinion, you really have a knack for converting my art into words, it seems! Being able to read an outside opinion that deconstructs the image in such great detail really gives me better insight into how others are perceiving the work I do, and it's helping me get a better focus on what direction to take each new render. So cheers for taking the time broham, and super glad you enjoy what I'm throwing out here for folks to see!!

Also have to say I love the expression on his face it shows him doing his best to sell the character he is in the ring while also showing the compassion and love in his eyes. There is even an element of him showing he cares and might be figuring out a way to win and stay the beast while also protecting his opponent. Its so cool when an expression on a character can convey so much of whats happening in an image. ^_^
