This peculiar-looking individual is another old character I decided to dig up. She's a highly advanced mutation of the Genus alien strain first discovered and eradicated in Arizona back in 2001. Scientifically, Evey really doesn't have a gender. She's able to make exact replicas of herself via mitosis, though Sector 1404 has learned how to counter these effects in an effort to keep her contained to just a single individual... for obvious reasons!
Like the first excursion, Evey crashed to Earth on a meteor infested with Genus cells. Right into a gas station within the Brazilian territory. The impact of the flaming rock punched right through into the gasoline chamber and caused a very large explosion. Being nitrogen-based life forms, the heat from the blast forced an evolutionary response in the Genus cells, causing them to fuse together and grow out of control... to form one more massive manifestation of terror. Except this one ended up looking rather cute.
Once every last bit of the flames had been absorbed by Evey's gelatinous form, she had grown to a size much too large to avoid being a threat. Fortunately we had a face to read this time and there was no doubt she was more disoriented than anything else and proved uncooperative. We were forced to pump her full of Selenium after she started to flee and trample everything, so thus repeated another messy episode of blobbing alien flesh. Evey lasted far longer than the primitive mass in Arizona, but the 500 gallons eventually did her in all the same.
With her remains strewn across a several-mile radius, we collected samples for study... and were successful in rebirthing Evey anew. Under far more controlled circumstances, of course. She's a laboratory pet these days, living a happy life under the care of her passionate caretakers.
