So this will actually be the first upload/post of my novel kinda. Honestly I'm a bit shy about putting my novel anywhere just because I have anxiety problems and just a general fear of it being bad.
Anyway before I start this art was done by an artist over on DA by the name of Akane.
Anyway I hope you enjoy the read. If not, hoped you liked the pretty picture. If you didn't like ether than you must really have had nothing better to do or something. XD

Long, long ago in the distant past of Beastia, the land of animal-like humans, did bear a child who would unknowingly be thrust into destiny's hands. This boy was born into the tribe associated to the Dragon of Fire. A tribe renown for its warriors and skill with weapons of many variety; classic ones like swords, axes, spears as well as magical ones like chi and spell books.
This boy was born as the son of the reigning chief and next in line to lead the tribe. Fate however, had a different path in mind. Like many children, this boy's talent for magic was excellent but as he grew up his talent never waned. The opposite was the case; as he grew so did the power of his chi. By the age of 10 he easily defeated his father in combat and, by tribal law, had to take over as chief. This was not approved by not only the tribesmen, but the boy himself. With the desire to master his inherent talent for performing magic through his own chi, the boy abdicated the role back to his father and left the village to hone his power out in nature.
Out on his own the purple catboy quickly fell back to his instincts roamed the lands testing his abilities with the environment and its many beasts. Some battles having gone better than others. Several times did overconfidence betray him and would the child of fate awake in the tents of other tribes only to swiftly leave against their objections. This cycle of seemingly reckless behavior continued until the fateful day came to be.
Fives years had passed since the boy, now a teenager, left his tribe. The great catastrophe that was the mother goddess, Correntine, had struck. The normally peaceful and benevolent dragon was disturbed and sent into a berserk rage. The six tribes called upon their dragon protectors for their aid: Correntine's six hatchlings.
The six tribes came together each having the respective chief blessed by the power of the hatchlings to stand against their berserk goddess. While they all could approach, the sheer will of the mother dragon quickly blew away those with her hatchlings' power leaving the six to stand against her. The ensuing fight was short lived despite all efforts. No matter how much power the six chief were given by the hatchlings their bodies were still mortal and could only take so much abuse before their deaths. However, the death of each chief awakened each hatchling and the bodies cracked and shattered like eggshells giving the hatchlings life as each of the six was reborn as the dragon of their respective tribe and resumed their offence.
The rage of Correntine proved too powerful still. The six dragons were too unfamiliar with their new found powers and found themselves unable to cooperate effectively in trying to calm the mother dragon.
It would be then that our fated teen would arrive and his chi bursting with strength after the five years of pitting himself against life itself. On his own he was able to approach the raging dragons locked in combat somewhat unhindered; having to stop periodically to wrestle the repelling force of Correntine's berserk aura. It would be when he gets within sight of the six new hatchlings do they notice him.
Realizing the futile resistance in their lack of control of power the hatchling of fire, our teen's father, knowing the strength first hand proposed they each offer some of their power. Met with resistance by four others it would only be the hatchlings of fire and earth that would strike the purple catboy in their radiance.
Even with the minimal resistance the two hatchlings put up, the fated feline quickly absorbed their chi and mixed it into his own with ease leaving the two hatchlings exhausted and falling from the sky. With newfound power he stood against Correntine and despite her mighty strikes, the catboy always got back on his paws and responded with his own chi blasts. It went back and forth for some time. The teen began to grow weary and looked to his conqueror's enraged gaze as her fiery breath barreled towards him.
The voices of the other four hatchlings called out and gave the teen their power and invigorating the purple kitty beyond relief. With the power of all six now under his control he not only shook off the dragon's fiery breath but also sent it back making the mother dragon flinch. With his opportunity, the kitty jumped towards his prey and with his claw-like hands made hand signs for each hatchling evoking their chi within him.
The dragon chi took the forms of scrolls as their very power was rapidly etched into the teen's very existence. Once each chi scroll completed the signs and symbols remained that of the respective hatchling while the scroll itself shifted into the catboy's chi and they all spun back to his body only to be rolled back out one last time.
Landing on Correntine's head, the purple kitty focused the chi scrolls to fly out and coil around the berserk dragon's head as she thrashed in resistance. It too time, but each chi scroll unraveled entirely and anchor the teen to their opponent. The chi scrolls then began to absorb the dragon's own chi and feed back to their host; the catboy. It was a slow process as every so often the kitty boy had to stop and vomit a sickly greenish black sludge like substance. It went on for what seemed like forever before it was done. As it progressed, Correntine slowly calmed down until she passed out as the sludge poured from off her head before she finally was put into a slumbering state. The battle was over and the catboy unhinged himself and vanished shortly after.
Where he went no one knows as history's records are lost to time. None even knew his real name. He simply became known as Shinryu, the Lord of Dragons and a savior to the Beastians. Legend has it that he still walks on the earth still testing his might to the man ferocities of the world.
A child of destiny and keeper of the seal that holds the lady of dragons, Correntine, locked in eternal slumber gone with the wind. Will he every appear again? Not even present day scholars can clean the grime from this window.
What of the sludge that poisoned the mother dragon you ask? History's telling says it was washed away by a strange storm not long after the raging feud. From there the pages about it become blank.
