I decided to make a personal one named Moon, the gender is not specified, but it's assumed they don't necessarily breed.
They develop colors depending on what environment they've settled into, and their anatomy can change (horns, ears, wings, feet even).
Moon for example, has adapted to snowy environments, the tail is prehensile and can help with scooping snow to cover itself for protection or warmth.
