Cool Camaro dude, I always like the pre-82 Camaros myself. There are more Camaros before this date in my area then the last couple generations that came out, I guess not hot as much as 1970-1981s, and a few 67-69 daily drivers around but not as much since gas prices rose sharply last two years ago.
I bought my dad's 67 Buick Skylark, but later said its free, and now third owner of the family since bought new from a great aunt. This thing has stories still to tell, 150k miles on it and best restored looking 67 non-GS in Wisconsin, no other that I've seen. My dad tried to sell it before, but I liked it so much *and not alot of people interested in it* that he kept it and restored it a second time, and looked ever better than before.
We both could agree that vehicles being passed down to generation to generation is a special feeling, its something you could never part with. Since the Skylark has been mine for a year, hadn't got the chance to use it much, tires and gas tank need replacing.
I saw you had a Cavy yourself for a short while, very respected car no doubt. I drive a 2.2 sedan LS, but I did tie a street race with a Z24 in the past before, and for good reasons not to do it again, but did 0-60 in 9secs on a snowy day. Not bad for a POS car pushing 15 years with 125k on it, and still got 32mpg hwy.

oh yeah i hear ya sadly this car is no longer mine (but it is still in the family) i sold if back to my bad to help pay for college but i will have it back within the next two years i think
and yeah my z24 was a good car i wish if would have had less miles and not been abused so much by the previous owner but i love my new subaru to death

Better to keep your Subaru, I honestly think its a better car. I fixed so many things on this car, the list continues, but nothing of mechanical importance, just small stuff easily fixable.
But if your deemed to buy a Z again, look for a better one, yours looked good but looked dented to me. Even if it has more mileage, a crisp garaged Cavy will keep you rolling smoother in my opinion if you ask me. These cars all have similar rust spots that are predictable, and unsightly. Thats why I fixed mine of rust, but the finish isn't professional, but will do.

i have put alot of working into my subaru like head gaskets and such but i am at 170,000 miles on it and it runs and drives like new
yeah my z24 was wrecked on both sides the passenger side was side swiped before i bought it so i threw a new fender and door at it and did my best to hammer out the rear quarter panel also has a smaller dent on the divers quarter and it has 168,000 on it but i traded a Honda civic with a blown motor for the car so it was worth it.

Subarus make good stuff, just sadly domestic cars weren't like they were used to before, I'm a GM dude and thinking about buying a Nissan for the future. Better quality I guess. and fuel economy better too
Still what you got from your honda, its cheap sporty performence that doesn't go wrong.
I baby my motor, don't want to blow rings off or something bad I can't pay to fix. One good thing about the Cavy, you can practically fix the car entirelly yourself with parts priced reasonably.

yeah i mean i am in school training to become a GM master tech have been a gm guy all my life but recently have gotten into subaru alot and i work as a tech at a BMW dealer
oh yeah it was a fun car but the quad four has some major flaws
i was hard on my z24 but i really didnt care about it all that much considering i got it for almost free

My family has been driving GM since forever, and my French uncle who was a gearhead, got me into Renaults as that family side tradition. What ever they might say about the French, they out do their German counterparts in better car designs. Motors, good, but underpowered at times. thinking about doing mechanical engineer in the auto industry, been bottle feed with cars since I was a wee little pup.
I can't rip Honda out of anything, very respected in multiple accounts. Prices, motors, bodies that look good, fuel economy and rust-proofability. In a salt state, I don't see many Hondas rust here.
hehe, I sometimes get the feeling to drive without a reason, just relaxing to feel the vibrations and listen to mechanical music it gives off. If I had a Z24, then I could learn manual there. Might need to if I want to visit family and friends back in France when I'm older, 90% manual cars out there.

I'm still a loyal follower of GM and Renault-Nissan, but with GM lately as they are starting to suck with keeping in mind of the average joe. The Volt? Yeah was a good idea at the time, but they haven't sold more than 3k units and still failed at reaching 10k by the end of the year. What ever happened to their head start in lithium batterys, by a whole year before bodies were made, and only made 3k this year? Its sad about now, I will avoid GM stuff for the time being until they get their marbles in the right place.
Honda and Nissan appear to be a new addition to my favorite makes list. They have better cars GM could never dream of building, easy like pie.
A Z24 with an auto? I all thought they were a manual only trim model, but I guess they had to make it easy for to sell.

The Nissan Leaf is a better electric than Volt and iMIEV.
The 2013 Malibu was heard to pork up abit on weight by 300 lbs or more, its still a nice style though. The Newer Impala better be 200 lbs lighter, because the V6s might be getting smaller to meet some federal mandate on MPG. I hope they get smarter soon, gas won't be cheap anymore.
Thats still strange to me, I thought the Z24 was an all selective beast. Any car is hard to find stick, but growing in popularity these days.
