Tulegs represent the current peak of mechanized warfare of the confederation. Only deployed against heavy resisting targets, these colossal monstrosities stand 23 meters tall and are packed with weapons and countermeasures for almost every threat.
Depending on the loadout, a Tuleg is usually equipped with a fast firing heavy plasma cannon, an anti air battery, a target seeking micro-rocket launcher plus one spare on the back, and the hand can be replaced with an additional plasma cannon should extra firepower be required.
In addition to the already heavy armor plating, a strong plasma shield protects the Tuleg from almost any conventional weaponry, and squads of automated scout drones provide surveillance for the pilot.
Due to the sheer amount of processes and systems, a Tuleg can only be piloted with a neural interface, and long term experiments showed that only telepaths are capable of handling it.
Piloting a Tuleg requires a long and extensive training period. Between this and the fact that only 2% of all Draconians have telepathic capabilities, and only a small number of them volunteer for military service, the number of active mechs is limited to a couple hundred... A circumstance that every enemy of the confederation should be thankful for.
