I don’t really smoke, but I have always believed in what Humboldt means. Having spent a good third of my life up in the Sierras and Northern Nevada I too understand the value and preciousness of that freedom. Nowhere else on Earth can you so immediately find your peace with nature, with yourself, and who others are. As they say, the West is best.

With liberal counties like Humboldt and Mendocino, its no surprise that California's #1 cash crop is marijuana. Be weary when hiking the gorgeous wilderness there, the Mexican drug cartels are cultivating more of this glorious crop than the hippies ever were. I recently heard of a bust in Humboldt that exposed over 100,000 plants in just one location!

I wouldnt classify a $500,000,000 garden as pocket change. That is unless youre referring to the farms that produce billions of dollars worth of heroin and cocaine every year.
I'd think that a young, furry employee of Holiday Inn would have very limited knowledge of anything beyond the aforementioned bust, despite living in Humboldt. Suppose Ill just have to take your word for it!

I live in the Northwest and I do smoke and I love this picture. It has been my desktop background since you posted it and honestly, it is the most meaningful, most adorable, and coolest looking background that I have had so far, and I have had a sexy Amaterasu! This image is well drawn and by far the best "Bolt" homage done so far. Well done and thanks!

It looks like he must have had his Visine handy because his eyes aren't bloodshot.
I just had to do a little research in order to understand the meaning of the reference (or would that be "reefer"ence?) that this picture represents. I guess I'm a little out of touch these days.

And no, I don't smoke either, although I think that it should be legal. The reasons why marijuana was made illegal in the U.S. were absolutely stupid. "Hey, let's ban everything"! Who said that there was logic and reason behind all laws? Certainly not me. *steps down from soap box*
