Judging by Rita's initial appearance and abilities, it's pretty clear that Devil May Cry and Yu Yu Hakusho (two of some of my favorite things) was a major influence behind her. You can tell as you read along in her bio.
The goon she is taking on is one of Muggshot's guards. Not the first time I used a Muggshot henchman; I also used one for Sarah Brendhart's bio.
The demon she is stinging with her sword is just a random demon minion. Apparently in the Sly World of Rita they exist as well. So not only do criminals and robotic owls exist; so do demons. Not a comforting thought at all. No wonder it takes abilities beyond typical police work at Interpol these days.
