Steve's been around for a while. Had some work in the British anthology book WILD SIDE and some poster pages elsewhere. When I was initially working up the 4-issue test for HAVOC, I initially thought of doing one story spread over 4 issues and including backups by friends, but never got his interested. He DID draw a short story I worked up for FURRLOUGH (unpublished).
Yeah... and lately I've had to re-evaluate how I got that way, in both the positive and negative directions. I don't think there's anything worse than knowing how many roses I let die because I just couldn't be bothered to tend them...
On the other hand, since I came off hiatus, I've had a number of very pleasant emails and PMs from people who've told me that I had inspired them, which balances the regrets quite nicely.
You got me started in furrdom, and I'll always credit (or blame) you for everything that's happened since then.
