Some doodles of character concepts based on ye olde occupations! Something I had a lot of fun with ^v^
Roserade Cook- I wanted to go for a chef archetype of being fat and angry, but it didn't really end up working for me with the roserade design (I should try again sometime) and I felt like this was a better, less stereotypical solution! I still made the weight go to his hips though, lol
Spinarak Hatter- This guy was a fun design, and he came out pleasantly rotund! I was pleased ^v^ He also came out looking strongly Spanish in heritage, purely by accident
Blastoise Blacksmith- I've done a lot of blacksmith designs, so I figured this time I'd try for a different regional take on it, just so as not to repeat myself! I still like doing these kinds of designs though: hooray for burly people
Ledian Courier- This one came out pretty standard, but I liked the concept regardless! I mean, it's kinda hard to be a fat or overly muscular messenger, eh?
Reuniclus Hunter- Not a lot to say about this one, he just sorta came out looking this way and I was pretty happy about it
Gastrodon Mason- I borrowed heavily on Tite Kubo inspiration here, lol... Still happy with her, though! She looks like she can hang tough with the boys and lay down those bricks
Carnivine Herbalist- I think this is one of my favorites, mainly because I've wanted to work with an herbalist/apothecary concept for a long time now. It was kind of a shame to cover her body up with a dress, I was very proud of her legs (guess I better draw her nude, huh)
Clawitzer Stone-Cutter- Bara thru and thru B) Me gusta! I often struggle with different postures, but I think this came out better than I thought
Kakuna Carpenter- Normally my concepts for cocoon stages of pokemon have extremely limited mobility, but I couldn't help myself on this prompt! Maybe I'll have to rethink my approach...
Girafarig Seneschal- This one was a laff, Nux presented a lot of ideas about her personality that I quite like! She's very efficient and nearly militaristic in her directing of the other household servants, but her tail is consistently dopey and ruins the serious facade. Ladies showing their tails in this setting is taboo, so it was rather interesting/complicated to try and figure out how this would effect girafarig! In the end, I decided this translated to HATS and TINY TURTLENECKS. I don't regret my decision one bit
Many thanks to
Vincent the Wordsmith,
McNuxxy,
Kierou, and
Pawn King for their suggestions for both species and occupation on this one!(sometimes even theme/personality) Couldn't have done it without you guys!
