I wish Id sprung for the original of this when I saw your work at AC. its so amazing
And I dont know if you fully intended on it or not, but the christian allegory in this is beautiful. Theres a scripture that talks about leopards changing their spots (Jeremiah 13:23) but the phrase became 'change the leper's spots' from the use in the old hymn Jesus Paid It All. It's really become a picture in our faith of being washed clean by God's love, and made right. I wish it wasn't based on two weird concepts though.. but you've painted it beautifully regardless

Thank you for the kind words. While I know that the original quote was found in scripture, the line I used came from Rudyard Kipling's 'Just So Stories,' in which he took that line and elaborated on it in a short story. :) The picture itself can mean many things, depending on your point of view, but the inspiration behind it is very close to what you mentioned. It was done for a good friend who, through much determination and self-searching, made the choice to let go of things in the past and 'wash' much of his pain and old hurts away. -nod-
