Oh man, Aragorn as a lynx had not occurred to me, but it really makes sense. Solitary, wild ranger-type, good with tracking, moving quietly through the forest, etc.

Lynx is a good concept. Though I would almost make him deer-ish too (not just cuz it'd make you happy xD; ). Elves being all special would be very fair, white deer, lithe but solid, and Strider would be a more standard white-tailed stag, seeming earthen and rugged on first viewing but with clever markings that when cleaned and placed in regal armor would really make him king.

I think the lynx suits the Viggo Mortensen look well.

It's doesn't really match the Aragorn I have in my head, from when I was reading LoTR at the age of 12 :) but I'm not sure what would. I think I always imagined Aragorn as older, a bit sadder, and more stern.

But, honestly, even if I'd never seen the movies, this picture would instantly make me think, 'Aragorn!' Great job!
