Every summer, Rukey is sent down to Iron Island to stay with his maternal grandparents, and a veritable plethora of second cousins and other distant relatives.

Miss Ruta Riez is one of them. A cheerful little Riola, Ruta never lets anything get her down, and is a brilliant fighter. Despite having never left Iron Island, she likes books and is rather worldly. Like all of the Riez females, she has a rather high standing in the clan.

Rukey's grandparents would love to marry him off to her.

And, yes, the "Rucardo" she's referring to is Rukey. It's not his real name, though.

Fun Facts: As only one in five of her set of Lucario are born female, the competition is feirce. With out-of-clan marriage highly discouraged, only one fifth of male Riez ever reproduce.
Riolas are showered with attention so they evolve as early as possible, and are encouraged not only to be fighters, but to produce large families. Due to this double-standard, roughly 82% of miscarriages and other prenatal complications in the Riez Clan are caused by mothers overexerting themselves by fighting late in their terms.
Generally Lucarias are nagged until they produce three children, though those lucky enough to have a firstborn girl are usually left to their own devices.
