(Band of Preds) Salazar
I had this image for a while, and now that he made his debut in the most recent chapter, here's his profile!
Name: Salazar
Species: Iberian Lynx
Age: 1,380 (born 633); appears to be late 20s.
Fur Color: Bronze (white underbelly, black spots and "hair")
Eye Color: Red (originally brown)
Height: 6’6''
Weight: 330 lbs
==Abilities==
Near-invulnerability. His immortal status makes natural death a non-issue, while disease and trauma are likewise mitigated by a rapid healing factor.
Athleticism. As an immortal, he has superhuman speed and reflexes. He is roughly in the middle of Comotodo’s group in terms of his athletic prowess.
Strength. A standard immortal quality, he is much stronger than the average person due to his life consumption. Based on yield per square inch of muscle, he is the the third strongest member of Clan Comotodo, behind Comotodo and Manolo.
Brain Radio. Salazar is able to hear a person's thoughts as if they were spoken, provided he is looking at them. With enough focus, he can also delve into their memories, to dig up what they've seen and thought in the past. This ability is used to recruit people for Comotodo's cause, as well as give him an edge in combat against nearly anyone.
Staff skills. Salazar often carries a staff with him, though the metal at the top has since been melted to look more like the tip of a spear. His skills with the staff allow him to dispatch opponents - lethally or non - without using his bare hands. Judging by his claws and muscle mass, his enemies' odds of survival are probably higher this way.
==Weaknesses==
Limited immortality. As with the other immortals, he can be rendered mortal if killed enough times to exhaust his spare life force. Special note given to decapitation; the number of lives exhausted to recover from this injury is considerable and very capable of killing all but the most gluttonous immortals.
Sight dependence. Salazar's near-omniscience makes him a tough opponent, but if one can break his line of sight, he cannot use his power. Of course, he's since become a master at keeping someone from sneaking up on him, meaning an approach from the front is often the only viable method.
==Personality==
Salazar is strong, and he knows it. And he likes to remind everyone else of the fact. He routinely bullies people into submission both with his imposing physique and his special ability that makes him near-untouchable. More than once, he has devoured people Tennessee planned to hire for his own amusement.
While he follows a philosophy that the strong rule over the weak, he doesn't exempt himself from it. He will quickly humble himself when Comotodo, Manolo, or any of Comotodo's agents give him orders. He feels himself above most people due to his strength, but recognizes that some are even more powerful still.
Salazar's Social Darwinist philosophy stems from a belief that morality, if it exists, is pointless without strength to enforce it. His logical approach to eschewing ethics separates him from the more hedonistic nihilism of other immortals like Mwongo, who feels nothing but sensation is real.
==History==
At some point in his life, Salazar became Comotodo's first convert. He has a slight accent that indicates an origin from somewhere around Portugal.
