Anyway, meet Ryn! He's an energy mage who gets involved a lot in my story, and he's a complete mess.

Fun Facts
-Ryn works stackin' shelves at a local grocery store at night so he's pretty much nocturnal

-Shares a very very low-rent place with his friends Valair and "Spargo" in a small, rural port town

-Trying to save up so he can get a trade or something but he struggles to make ends meet at the moment

-Constantly uses humor to hide his real feelings. Was a class clown.

-Has 4 younger siblings who he'd honestly die for

-He's pretty shrimpy but he's ready to throw down at any point if it means standing up for a friend

-Hair is long for headbangin'. It's also always greasy as hell no matter how much he washes it.

-his teeth are pretty wonky & weird cause his family could never afford braces for him as a kid. Also they're kind of stainy from him smoking all the time.

-He's vocalist & bassist in an incredibly shitty local metal band called Spit. He has a surprisingly powerful voice for someone so small, though he and the band agree his velvety baritone is too "gothy" for Spit's sardonic, anti-aesthetic vibe so he makes a special effort to yell in a voice as nasal, gargly and grating as possible.

-His voice is his most attractive asset; both in singing and in speaking it's quite deep & a little husky and very pleasant to listen to. If he's not doing Spit's vocals, that is.

-Ryn is actually a very powerful mage despite his apparent lack of prowess. This is partly from lack of training, and partly from him suffering form an uncommon condition that reflects his magic in against himself and hurts him and drains his energy when he tries to use magic in the usual way. There is a way around this though...

-... if he happens to score some tutoring from a knowledgeable blood mage he might be able to use blood magic techniques to get around his screwy aura.

-put a lot of energy into trying to convince himself he was straight. It didn't work (he's bi)

-had a pretty rough sort of past & hates anything that reminds him of those times

-probably has a really embarrassing tattoo somewhere
