The people in the North are a naturally superstitious lot. Most of their history is still passed from elder to young by way of mouth. Stories of shadow and thistle, moss and pine. The stones here whisper their sights and the wind sings whispered gospels to those of keen ear. All throughout their lands you can find alters and shrines to spirits both named and not.

One should take care to abide by their rules and do not stray far from the paths. Leave what you can, as thanks for safe passage, and harm nothing except for what you must. For there are things that live there in those ancient timbers. Old things. Dark things. Things who's ways are lost to us in The Land of Sun. Whose tattered robes and bent limbs defy logic. Who's very presence commands the air to still and the heart to tremble.

Make no mistake traveler. The Old Ways are far from dead. They walk among us here and you'd do well to heed them.
