This piece struck me to tears, even after a month or two of my own pet rat, Baby, passing. I think it hit home for me pretty hard because I love having the ratties out and about when I'm on the laptop, and I would take pictures off my mac that were all very similar to this. Crawling on the shoulder, snuffling through the mohawk, going into my ears. Just being playful, curious little joys.

Yeah, my own two are healthier than ever, I can't imagine them any other way. I'm dreading any future troubles :E
