I play ArcheAge and DCU Online so dumb quests are abound XD makes for plenty of head bashing moments.

Lazy design or either in the beginning to get the player use to the game, but in late game...that just really lazy design.

Agreed. It's fine when starting off but late game? No. Way too late for that. Not enough XP to offer late game.

Is not about the exp, is more that it often forces the story of a game to come to grinding stop.
Which is never something you want. Unless is a sidequest then that fine, but never main questline.
