Hey guys, I thought of doing some sticks that always knew how to keep up with
Aged Cravings in Cigars. The Vintage Line Up from Rocky Patel.
Let's get to it!
Rocky Patel Vintage 1999:
Wrapper: Connecticut ‘99
Binder: Nicaraguan
Filler: Dominican, Nicaraguan
Pre-Light/Construction:
The wrapper was a bright and shiny Connecticut. Firm and bit dry to the touch. A little bit of smoothness went along with it. The veins were skinny but present. It drew more attention to wrapper than the seems. The white and gold band gave it more of a ritzy look like something stashed away in a rich person's humidor in a balcony lounge. The cut pre-draw was nice and loose. LEt's Light it up!
The Burn Part 1:
The first few puffs were light and floral with a creamy sweet note. A bit of outdoor hay and cedar notes came into play.
Felt like a nice and sweet breakfast danish with get with your meal you order out. Something you have right in the morning to start your day. A bit of light bread notes came afterwords. So far the beginning is very nice and pleasant.
The Burn Part 2:
As the stick went down a little further, not much is changing at this point. The bread notes get a little more vibrant. The hay and cedar notes come a little stronger. Not much, but enough to show it has a little kick. So far still going good.
The Burn Final:
The cream started to dwinde a little bit as well as the hay and cedar. A little bit of roasty notes came to indicate the end was near. Still the same body in consistency stood. As the final puffs came, the hay and cedar notes won the last draw.
Verdict:
Another one I would pick for a morning with a cup of coffee cigar. Go outside and enjoy the morning. the temperature is just right and it seems to fit. Grab you a few of them and reserve a nice morning with one.
