For the past couple months, I've been running a 5th edition D&D game using the Adventures in Middle-earth rulebooks published by Cubicle 7. For anyone who has been interested in their sister game The One Ring, or anyone who enjoys the setting of the Lord of the Rings in general, I strongly recommend checking it out. As an almost lifelong fan of the series and setting, this has been an absolute treat to run.
The party is comprised of:
* Tobold Whitfoot, a Hobbit Scholar, played by
* Erulisse, the Mirkwood Elf Ranger, played by
* Galadhwen, the Dunedain Wanderer, played by
* Boldur, the Dwarf Fighter, played by a non furry.
Here, we encounter our heroes defending the tollhouse at a small town at the Crossings of Celduin from an approaching army of Orcs, Fell Wargs, Trolls, and worse. After convincing the crotchety old Master of the Crossing to allow them to fight the Orcs, the heroes made a valiant stand against their foe, the dreaded Werewolf of Mirkwood, a fell spirit in wolf shape. The Werewolf is in possession of the Chain of Thangorodrim, an ancient evil artifact that he intends on using to control a terrible Cold Drake from the North to lay Waste to Wilderland. Our heroes bravely stood against the Orcs and Wolves, and when the Werewolf at last revealed himself, one of the companions, a fierce Woodman woman named only The Bride stood against him, laying down her life to weaken her husband's killer so her companions may land a finishing blow.
But the blow did not kill the vile spirit, which fled North and is about to unleash his plan to ensnare Raenar the Cold Drake and lay low the warriors of the North. This weekend, we will see if our heroes prevail
It's been a while since I've posted about my actual tabletop gaming. I wholly intend on making videos and uploading them to my YouTube channel, but time has been a fierce adversary of mine lately. For now, these will do.
