I like wildflowers very much, especially spring-blooming ones. But maybe that isn't correct, because I do really like them all! Except invasive ones, of course, like Crown Vetch and Bird's-foot Trefoil, and the super-prickly Bull Thistle. But I digress.
This wildflower, Wild Geranium, has delicate pink blossoms which I find very pretty in their simple way. It grows in shady, relatively dry places, and is here growing on a shady hillside in our back yard under some white pines. I just had to stop and admire it on my morning's ramble about the yard.
