Screenshots aren't allowed on FA though

I see them posted on here all the time so people don't get their undies in a twist. In fact I've posted one before and there has never been an issue,so I don't know what to tell yah.

They get posted, but they also get deleted all the time, with warnings and stuff. The site has some problems with educating users on its AUP (hence inappropriate images in General category and some other stuff all the time), but admins are still capable to kick the cheeks when they're not in the right mood. As for me, Idon't care that much, honestly, just thought it's in a good manner to tell that in advance.

I'm 99% certain that all of the 3d artists wouldn't exist if such a thing was true. Screenshots is most likely referring to copyrighted characters and places in games and videos, so people don't infringe on copyright and such.

3D artwork aren't really screenshots in traditional sense, they go under renders. As for the reasons, it's mostly to prevent folks from bloating the site with blog-like content and various "Sonic/MLP/etc chatacter generator" submissions - there was a restriction for photos too, as far as I know, but it got lifted due to fursuiting being a thing.
