I was messing around with my new 600mm lens and solar filter trying to find the right settings for the solar eclipse when I snapped a shot of a sunspot. I like the colors you get with this so I will probably stick to similar settings to these for the eclipse. I'll see what else I can get this weekend as well. :3

Good job. I need to do the same with my new solar filter.

According to Spaceweather.com, that would be sunspot AR2670 (the remains of old sunspot AR2665).

Thanks for the info! I'll keep that sight in mind when I do some more shots tomorrow. I might upload them but they would go in scraps. I'll probably move this to scraps as well.

I was so lucky that, during the eclipse, there were several sunspots I was able to observe and photograph. Those images will be uploaded eventually, but I will be uploading the moment of Totality first. :3

Were you using a ND solar filter for the eclipse? I used the Mr Star Guy white light solar filter. (Also, all yours came out amazing.)
