Explorer of the Kingdom of Portugal
The 16th century was the heart of the Age of Discovery. Around this time, many explorers sought to traverse the world to bring riches and glory to themselves as well as their respective kingdoms. Many would seek mythical cities or artifacts spoke of only in rumors and whispers. Regardless of the explorers intent, they helped mankind further understand the world and began the process of connecting the old world with the new world, as well as the east with the west. Some of the most successful of these explorers hailed from the Kingdom of Portugal. These explorers traveled from one edge of the world to the other, from the jungles of the Amazon, to African and Arabian kingdoms centered around the Horn of Africa, to the silk-rich states in India, and to the then little-known realms of China and even Japan. Emilio Remanza is one of those explorers, or at least he hopes to be!
Emilio is a young explorer from the Kingdom of Portugal. He has a youthful slightly masculine face with obvious Mediterranean facial features, hazel eyes, short light brown hair, and a little bit of a stubbly beard between his chin and above his lips. The explorer dons a long blue coat with puffy arms, as well as a simple looking shirt underneath it. Around his neck was a scarf of sorts to keep warm on colder nights traveling the Atlantic or Mediterranean Sea. The fashion seemed to be a bit dated, showing off that he was from the 16th century, or at least some sort of Renaissance Fair-looking fellow. Regardless of the age of his clothes, they all to be rather high quality to show that he was indeed a noble! Either that, or he had a lot of money. Born in 1524, he is the twin brother of Emanuel Remanza and the son of Dom Vasco Remanza, the well-known Portuguese noble explorer. Now at the ripe age of twenty three, he seeks his own glory in adventure like his father before him. He may also seek some other things too, but that's a given.
