The original base lineart was not done by me, it was done by LunaMadison on PI.
This was done for a contest on PI. You were given a base and had to add details onto it to design your own carousel pony. I tried so many themes and finally got this one to work to how I like it. ^^
So the details that add to this being Gryffindor Themed. ^^
Base Horse Coloring - Male Lion(mascot of Gryffindor House)
Horse Armor Colors - Red and Gold (colors of Gryffindor House)
Pole - Godric Gryffindor's Sword
Chest Crest - Gryffindor House's Fancy Crest
Blanket - Colored after Gryffindor House Robes
Saddle - 2 Gryffindor Lion heads(small circles), Hogwarts Crest(for the entire school), Hogwarts Castle
Now the design for how it is, I tried to combine armor for horses found in the middle ages with that of traditional carousel horses. ^^
I did end up winning second place and I was very happy about it. Not a DVS but still an amazing prize of a love pair of an adorably cute adoptable. ^^

Very nice design, looks really cute. The only thing that seems wrong is the position of the pole. I mean, a kid can't sit in the saddle if the pole goes through it. If you look at a real carousel horse (just look that up in google), you'll see that the pole is actually placed between neck and saddle. Other than that, lovely work.
