More about the artist than about the picture, this story bring us nearly the beginning of the twenty first century. Maggock was one the first artist I followed on DeviantArt because of gryphons! And later I wanted to translate her comic Inner Space in French (I had certainly the motivation but not a good level enough in English). And nowadays, I still love what she does!

Thank! I like the look of brigandines. It appears in Europe when the plate armors were getting more and more used. Its design is cheap, clever and easy to make: just tiny metal plates, which limited the restrain of movements (well plate armours were also made so that it's owner could move really well when wearing it, but it needed much more skills from the blacksmith).
