This song represents about 8 hours of my life!
It was all done with garage band and the editing and effects ended up splitting it into about 32 tracks. This marks the first time I have ever used sampled material in any of my music. The samples came from the Beatles song "Long, Long, Long" and from a collection of rare interviews I was able to obtain from a collection called "Beatles Tapes II Early Beatlemania: 1963-64" (see: http://www.amazon.com/BEATLES-TAPES...../dp/B000001C0M )
Instrumentation is as follows:
vocals:Me
guitars:Myself
keyboards: I
Just in case you somehow managed to never hear the original version from the White album check out this video:

Hope you enjoy it, please let me know and show your furiends:3

This is quite a well done edit job hon. I've heard you perform this live (actually if I recall I sang along) and I really like the effects you've been able to add by using garage band etc. That's not to say that performing it live isn't great too. The Beatles are always a big hit with me. Keep up the good work, never give up your dreams.
*Huggles* Thanks, I think this is the best production on any one my stuff yet:) I hope to do many more like it. Who knows maybe I'll start getting some Attention On here. I still need to get a better mic though:/ Colson makes me so jealous with his awesome equipment! The little radio shack One I have gives some real hiss:(
Thank you so much For the encouragmentXD

I sure hope so, I just got around to loading live 6 on my little puter which does what garage band does basically but is supposed to be nicer. We shall see, so far I am a little scared of it. It's not nearly as friendly looking or easy to use:\ I am exited about getting some better effects with it, though I know you prefur my more raw stuff:)
Well this wasn't exactly solo. It was a song on the Beatles white album, but I could have seen something like this being on his first couple solo albums. Personally I was a bigger fan of Johns solo stuff since it had more of a sharp edge to it and less orchestra. My favorite will always be George though:3
I added the song to my favorites, but I have a suggestion. Next time, when you're working on mastering the channels, be sure to lower the volume of your voice. The way you panned the guitar work to the left and your voice to the right was great because it has a nice subtle touch, but since you're singing softly in the beginning, it's best to place a little more emphasis on the guitar track by increasing the volume slightly on that.
Also, George Harrison is <3 I cover his work all the time.

Hey Thanks for the tip. I happened to have that same thought cross my mind when it rolled around on my iPod today. I will probably fix It when and if I put it on my CD to be given away at Rainfurrest, probably along with a few of my other songs:)
Though you know that John was the one who wrote this right?

I think you missed that it represents the 8 hours spent in a tiny dark room staring at 34 tracks and editing the sound and volume for ever one of them. The song was written by John http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Happin....._Is_a_Warm_Gun
thanks:)
