*Warning: Slight spoilers for BotW*

Link removed the mask he had worn obsessively since obtaining it as Zelda approached him. Just as she was about to speak and talk with the hylian boy, she stopped and placed a hand on her chest with a slight gasp. The face she had known for many, many years had been replaced with that of a Lynel's. Two large horns above each temple, a thick mane of fur and a broad, wet nose. Though despite the changes, he still looked like Link. His hair stayed the same, if not a little messy and his eyes were still the same as before.

The princess looked into his eyes before giggling to herself.
"Goodness Link, something tells me you've worn that mask for too long" she said as she approached, running her fingers through his mane. The boy seemingly had yet to realise that his face was no longer that of a Hylian, nor that he was much larger and hairier, though he had noticed other lynel's were much friendlier than before.

The princess brushed his fur with her fingertips before gesturing for the boy to follow. Link had yet for his lower body to change to that of a mare, so perhaps there was a chance to reverse the curse the mask had put on him. If not, well... he'd make for an amazing bodyguard.

This is inspired by my uh... obsessive use of the lynel mask in breath of the wild. Ever since I got it, I've put it on Link whenever I safely can and... I had a thought. The guy who sells it to you, Kilton, is pretty odd, so would it be so outlandish to imagine he cursed the mask so that overuse results in becoming the beast?

Anyways, that's why I made this and I hope you liked my attempt at a little story too.
