this is a quick illustration of a dragon in my d&d campaign
His name is Alduous
He's a loner, an old earth dragon who lives alone in the Ash Range that separates the main continent from the eastern forest continent. He's been in hibernation mode for a few centuries. He is a close confidant to the forest deity Illuentoa, but she keeps his existence a secret so he isn't harassed by any of her overzealous followers. He isn't particularly powerful or wise; he's just a very lax dude, gets along well with the goddess, and enjoys life alone. He is one of very few dragons who remain on the Material Plane (one of nine) and he doesn't make much effort to interact with the others. Millennium ago he fought the dragon Haezayjsou, a great terror in the northern salt marsh, but the pair were evenly matched at the time and eventually went separate ways. He now lives quietly in the mountains, while Haeza continues to brood over the marsh. He does his best to not be noticed by her, as he is no longer a match for the younger, more aggressive dragon.
He hasn't met any of the player characters yet, but if they manage to keep their black dragon wyrmling alive, when they do meet it will probably be on poor terms. He would gladly kill a spawn of Haeza, even though he typically is not cruel or violent.
