Family/Household: Cuojee (cu-oo-gi)
Races/Species: Humans, elves, dragons, wood elves, faes, griffons, unicorns
Casters: Mages, witches, warlocks, dragons, drow, high mage, archmage, druid, ancient, wizards, necromancer
Description: The Cuojee are magical users of summoning, able to call on battle companions or partners to aid them in a fight or in the quest for knowledge. This type of magic is not as straining as members in the Fhena, but it takes intense concentration to hold a summon for a long time. Practice to achieve small scale callings can be seen as soon as in five years. The Cuojee are a large family with varying techniques, allowing them to gain a few benefits of the companion or partner they summon. In some cases, the animal or intelligent creature may decide to stay with the person who summoned them, freeing the caster of the need of focusing their magic on them. Since training does not take so long, the Cuojee make up most of the percentage of the overall casters in the remaining houses. Though they may not be as intelligent as the Fhena, they make up for in wit and instinct.
History: Family members in this household have stayed alive by for so long because of their ability to blend in with the surrounding terrain based on what companion or partner they choose. Casters who finish their education, depending on how powerful they are usually summon one or two faithful companions to try and bond with, using a book filled with a wide variety of spells and incantations. In a time of war, the Cuojee are used as scouts or last line defenders for those with ranged attacked companions. Most of the time, they are the general soldiers of the battlefield, able to coordinate their attacks with the Pivec to great effect.
In the family, they value honesty and trustworthiness above all else, creating deep bonds with some of their companions or partners that sometimes go beyond the realm of a mutual friend or help in war. Their lives are normal for the general household of families, setting the standard at around 146-213 years. The elders, casters who are past their prime contribute by teaching the other houses about respect and care for you fellow friend of partner. Fighting together is more useful as fighting alone, and as they say: "A disorganized enemy is easy prey for the predator, an organized enemy is a satisfying meal to anyone, as the hunt and strategy get the blood running, the mind thinking."
As the Fhena are at odds with the Pivec, the Cuojee on the other hand work well with the Gherlim. The Cuojee are the common casters, neither at hating or loving one household over the other. Their combos of summoning with faith, spirit and wisdom strengthen their spells tenfold as they are most likely used at the beginning of a battle to try and overwhelm their opponent with large and strong companions or partners.
For the Cuojee, their life force is neither taken nor extended by any great amount. The strain and aftereffects of casting a spell or incantation a normal except when it is powerful, capable of summoning a greater angel or dragon, as well as some phoenixes.
Locations: As the Fhena live in warm environments, the Cuojee prefer the forest and natural inhabitants where nature runs wild so they can more easily get in tune with their companion or partner. The stronger members of the households live in dense rainforests or in swamps where travel seems impossible. They communicate with each other through the interconnected vines and roots of the various trees and plants in the forest.
Size: The size of the Cuojee family is one of the bigger households, not being as strong but wielding more natural talent and passive abilities. Their wit and instinct make them great teachers to those wanting to learn about nature and other aspects of the world's geography since they are the mappers and trackers of the magical beings.
