Ha! This is a fun reversal of the news story you posted in your journal. It's always great to see more preds from you Strega! You draw great happy/satisfied preds and the hyena's expression shows that off well here. Also I'm impressed how well you managed to show a surprised/shocked look with a feral snake face. Another thing you do an excellent job with is bulges, and the way the snake's coils showed in the bulge here is a nice detail. Plus the heart effect is a nice touch!

Expressions on animals can mostly be conveyed with the shape of eyes, the attitude of the ears and what the mouth is doing. The mouth thing works even for a snake and even if the eyes are round, pinpoint pupils always make someone look scared. 83
