What is it with me and raffles lately!?
Near the middle of last month,
posted a raffle on Twitter where the winner would receive a full-body chibi raffle. How could I resist participating, especially since her artwork's friggin' adorable and super-sweet?
And out of the three furries that entered, I won!
This time around, I decided to give my good friend a new challenge: draw my kunoichi lioness, Leona Mika. And what a spectacular prize this turned out to be that I received just yesterday! I mean how did she--!? I can't even--!!! AAAAHHHH!!!
Where to begin!? Lineart is very nicely done! Pose Leona's in looks very natural and comfortable, her sitting cross-legged like that; all the parts look evenly distributed, and her feet-paws are placed very sweetly (the way drew her feet-paws are incredibly cute)! The kunoichi's expression looks so damn adorable with her big, bright eyes which really compliment her innocent, cheerful open-mouthed smile to really sell that outgoing and bubbly side of her; the gleams in her eyes look uber-cute! Just made me melt instantly! And her hairdo/mane! Just-- AAAAHHHH! She made her bangs look evenly parted and very beautifully done; she even gave her the right amount of volume to her hairdo/mane! Even the back length is just the right amount! Wardrobe's bang-on as are her markings on her face and arm! Colouring's totally rad all over with her colour palettes being picture-perfect! Very well done with the soft shading all over, especially on the subtle curves and crevices! And I'm always super-impressed how she does the detail to the shading and lighting in the hair (and tail tuft); the accentuating lines are very finite yet bunched together neatly, and they really give her hair a lot of definition and depth!
As always,, you've done tres bien work on this drawing and especially doing Leona so much justice for your first time drawing her. If you were here right now, I'd give you a very big hug for being so awesome! >w< Thank you, thank you, thank you for this amazing raffle prize! You are awesome, and you should feel awesome!
