So! Finally got around to doing a badge of my own. (I recently commissioned one which looks fantastic; keep meaning to ask the artist if I'm okay to upload it here.)

Interesting story to tell with this one - the original linework was drawn by  rj-pilot waaaaay back in 2009 to use as my badge for Anthrocon that year. A couple of weeks back I suddenly remembered the existance of this badge along with the unshakable urge to bring it up to date with my current fursona, as nice little bit of nostalgia plus a bit of practice in character work.
Amazingly, RJ still somehow had the original badge's file kicking around on his PC and was kind enough to send it my way.

Ended up being slightly more involved than I thought, as to bring it in line with my style etc. I've had to completely re-draw everything from scratch... in someone else's style!
The original badge featured a shorter muzzle, which I've elongated here a little in line with my fursona design. Other than that, line-work wise it's essentially the same as in 2009, just a few slight tweaks to the fringe, piercings and an update/recolour of character and clothing.
Fun fact - the original badge featured a pink fringe, so I elected to replicate this with the actual colour my hair is as I write this!

It's been a real honour to have a chance to do all this and mix our styles together as RJ's is a technique I've admired ever since I first met him, nearly (or could it be -more than- ??) a decade ago.
