Y'know now that you mention it yes it does look like that. When I was a kid my hometown nearly burned to the ground thanks to a forest fire that started as a control burn (that got out of control thanks to wind). A lot did burn, many people lost their homes. Before my section was evacuated I recall the late afternoon sky/sunsets resembling this.
This is beautiful and thought invoking. At first I thought (like comments above) the cat was witnessing a fire because of the really vivid colors, but it's also a gorgeous autumn night piece (I think of Halloween, personally, with it's amazing colors and the bonfires on chilly nights <3). Great work!
