This was one of the freakiest things I'd seen in any of my roach colonies. A VERY TINY (thus not so great photo) skunk roach/eurycotis floridana had just molted, and this huge bubble formed on its back with a brownish fluid pooled in the bottom of the bubble. I'm guessing it was possibly a deformity of the gland that produces the defensive spray. Anyway, it popped later and I think the others ate it. :|

I have 4 tarantulas... there's not a lot of difference because they're mostly "fur" and it doesn't really change color (at least, not that I've seen in my obts.) They're a tad bit brighter and their joints and the areas without fur are much lighter for a little while, but it's not super noticeable. :3
