you and i have to meet some time coz i designed my own ship some months ago not in anyway related to star trek but still as awesome, the H.M.A.S Deliverance, a type71 cruiser outfitted with revolutionary engines (that i designed to work) called Inverted ion stabalization generators, using basicly NO fuel can reach a top (and only) speed of 3.356666' times the speed of light.

the Deliverance has no energy shields, phasers or view screen but each window is a solid plate of man-made diamond and its armour consists of cevlar coated, carbon rod inter-woven tungsten-titanium aloy, this stuf can withstand a massive beating, and packing 4 gauss50 mark3 rifles and 2 ion rocket launchers, each gauss rifle is a magneticly accelerated projectile weapon with 25 rounds a minute rate of fire using solid 130mm cobalt slugs.

the HMAS Deliverance may not be advanced but it can manuver something unreal and has a hell of a crew, its small and slim 10m by 50m by 25m, 45degree slung wing design is square and bulky but multi-directional fission drive can make this 5630 metric tonne ship hover just meters above ground, each IIS engine or 'quantum drive' can disconnect from the ship if something goes wrong or to damage a heavy target, badly.

the sensor array is a gamma-magnetic distortion detection system, any with an electro-magnetic field or emits gamma rays will be found out!

Can´t wait to see them, I created a Race too and I have some ship designs in my gallery. They are not as good as your 3D Designs but quite happy with them.

So how big is this Canaran Ship?

I saw some of the ships you designed, they do look pretty cool. :) I designed both of these and the one I'm working on now in Second Life.

This ship is 982 meters in length, and can hold a crew of about 1,200. Working on designing a smaller one, just trying to get the details the way I want them.

And what kind of ship is it, a Carrier, Warship or a Research Vessel?

Sorry it took so long to reply to this. It's a research vessel mainly, but it is heavily armed as well, so could serve as a warship if necessary.
