Done for good friend FinnishFox. I really wanted to do something different from the usual "big scary medieval" thing. FinnishFox has an interest in Vikings and of course the Finnish culture and lately I've been thinking of what Scandinavian Europe might look like in a futuristic sci-fi setting, particularly a Scandinavia that reconstructs it's Viking history and returns to it's culture. The costume is a sort of a classic futuristic type of armor, but with little Viking references like in the helmet, the hilt of the sword, the runes (which roughly spell out "fox", and the Asatru symbol. This is probably the first time I've done a drawing with an Asatru reference I think. Plus the blue and white is the colors of Finland's flag, appropriate because of his name.
