This little colt wasn't here long. He belonged to someone else that was leasing my property. He got sick a few days after he got here, I called the owner telling them I wanted to pen him and his mother up and call the vet but they said not to worry. The next morning he was stuck in the mud in the pond behind him. He was so weak that he couldn't stand. I was walking up to him when he fell over in the water and drowned before I could get his head above water. He hadn't been given a name by the owner and I called him shadow while I was trying to save him. He was only 9 days old.
