It was 3 weeks since Reel and D.R. moved into Carbonarrow and getting used to the living in the fur village. It was a hot and Sunny day so Reel, D.R., Hunter took a walk to the beach and and setted up a spot.
"Sunblock?" Hunter asked Reel as set down his surf board. Hunter is a human with white skin with short brown hair wearing only black swin trunks.
" I think my thick fur will due just fine." Reel said. He was tall wolf with lightblue fur with black scratch tribal tatoos that match his spiky black hair. He was only wearing light brown swim trunks.
Hunter was about to ask D.R. but remembered that dragon scalescares are fireproof and sunproof. So he started rubbing the sunblock into his smooh skin.
"So Hunter you gonna catch some waves? "D.R. asked him, D.R.was teal wingless dragon with a golden yellow underbelly that matches his long hair that often covered his right eye.
"Oh I don't surf." Hunter answered D.R.
"Then why bring the boa..." Reel tried to lift Hunter's surf board only to find it very heavy and hard as steel. Hunter pressed in the bottom fun opening the the metal surf board to show that there's a disasembled long sword hidden inside. "I just wanted bring Glory with us just incase something attacked to beach." Hunter told them as he closed the board.
"Attacked by what? A giant seamonster?" D.R. replied jokingly.
"What can go wrong will go wrong. So be prepared for when it does." Hunter wisely phase Murphy's Law.
"Alright but lets now do that stupid thing we saw on TV." Reel pulls out some blackout sunglasses." Who want have these..."
"Not it!" Hunter yelled
"Not it!" D.R. yelled shortly after Hunter.
"Dang it!" Reel shouted putting on the blacked out glasses which wouldn't let him see a thing and puts in an ear pieces that's connected to Hunter's phone.
"Lets make a bet?If you managed to do everything me and D.R. say we will give you $100 each." Hunter Explained
"Uhhh... And if you refuse you i get to eat you." D.R. said with a devious smirk.
" ...and you'll owe me $100." Hunter continued with looking at D.R. weirdly.
"Got it " Reel he went off to a good distance away from them.
"Dureil guide him towards me but don't tell him its me." Hunter told D.R. and went by the lifeguard's stand.
"Alright little brother turn left and move... No RUN forward."D.R. giggle. Reel knew that D.R. was up to something but it was for $100 so Reel turned and gunned it running blindly towards Hunter how was standing right behind the lifeguard's chair.
Aloud THUD was made when the wolf collided with with the wooden beams. D.R. laugh falling over while Hunter tried to hold in his giggles.
"What the hell was that?!" The lifeguard yelled looking down to Reel as he was getting up then turned to Hunter. Hunter jumped at the sight of the lifeguard. He didn't notice it ealier but the lifeguard was a greater arthropod, an anthro water spider to be exact, with 6 arms, silver short wavey hair over her black eyes with white diamond pupils, and a smooth chitin exoskeleton with shades of green that highly contrasted with her red lifeguard swimsuit. Hunter has heard of greater arthropods before but he never saw one this close.
"Is he drunk?" The spider lifeguard asked Hunter.
"No miss..." Hunter looked at uniform for a nametag and saw an engraving on her chest."No miss Lily he's not drunk just... Blind."
" Well make sure he doesn't slam into anything else. And if your his ...friend... Don't laugh at his disability." Lily told Hunter in a serous tone.
"Got it" Hunter lightly grabed Reel by the shoulder and guided him towards D.R.
"Okay let's not put him harms way cause then it looks like we are missing with a blind wolf so let's be known as those people." Hunter leered at D.R.
Reel took of his glasses and rubbed his head. " did you really had to make me run into pull."
"I told D.R. to guide you to me not into the lifeguard stand but I'll give you the win."
"What but I had my own plan." D.R. plead.
"I'd say making him hurt himself is an automatic loss for us now let's pay up."
"Uhhhhh..." D.R. nervously said.
"You don't have any the money do you?" Hunter asked the dragon.
"I was hoping Reel would lose by my turn." D.R. smiled with guilt
Hunter sighed" Reel 200 dallors have neen taken off your rent but D.R. owes me a 100 dallors worth in favors."
"Favors?"D.R. nervously asked.
"You do what I ask and you can't say no. I'm gonna teach you to not make bets that you can't afford." Hunter crossed his arm and smirked.
"Hey! Lily!"
Hunter, Reel, and D.R. looked to see an angry otter in a yellow headguard shirt run up the to her.
"Yeah!" the anthro spider said annoyed by his presence.
"Get down here you 8 limbed freaked." Lily jumped down in front of the otter standing 3 ft taller than the mammal. Reel got alittle interested and and walk over there behind the otter trying not to get noticed.
"Lily. 3 people disappeared yesterday and want to tell me where you taken them before I hire a dragon Hunter." The suburb otter yelled.
"What makes you think I did it?..." Lily than saw Reel standing behind him. Reel smiled and started mimicking the otter but with more exaggerated gestures.
"You can hold your breath for days, you could make waterproof webs to hide your victims." He made little gestures as Reel threw his arms crazily through air while doing a good job lip sincing him. Lily couldn't help but smile.
" and I'm aware of your feeding habits!" The head guard
pointed at her while Reel stould as stiff as he could trying to make the most accusing point ever. Lily flat out laughed as the the otter turned around. Reel quickly threw a his arms down.
"Hey... Ah where's the bathroom?"
Reel nervously asked.
"Just go pee in the ocean like everyone else!" The otter yelled with so much rage that the Reel could see a bulging vine behind his thick fur.
"Ahhhh!" A big amount of the furs screamed while being pulled under.
"There must be a huge rip tide." Lily said run into the water blowing her whistle.
Reel looks at the otter head guard. "Hey I'm gonna lend her a hand"
" now wait there this a lifeguard duty and..."
"D.R.! " the bluegreen and yellow dragon jumped over to Reel's call.
" never... Nevermind you two can.. Can do what ever you want." The otter nervously backs away them. As Reel jumps D.R.'s back "let's save some fishes!" He yells than than cringes at how cheesy that sounded. D.R. just giggle and dashed into the water using his strong legs to propell them through the water. Reel held on tight to neck his holding breath as his dragon brother swam deeper to the drowning furs.
Lily being built for the water was swimming quickly as she soon grabbed a 2 furs and pulling them with 4 of her 6 arms and dashing to the surface. "At this rate most of them are gonna drown before I can save them" she throught to herself but than saw a Teal dragon in the water with a blue wolf riding him. Lily threw the two fur up trusting them to be able to swim back to land. As she swam, she thought something felt off but this rip tide. Being able to hold her breathe for a long time and with powerful swiming muscles like hers rip tides wouldn't be much of a problem for Lily but even so she should at least feel a current trying to pull her under but the water felt normal.
D.R. swam close the panicing fur letting them grab onto him for dear life. Reel saw some deeper down and pushed off D.R. to get them. As soon as D.R. had all the furs he saw that could clutch onto him, he used his ability to bend reality to a open a portal to the beach . As he open this portal, he felt something grab his leg but assumed it was another fur. He fell out the portal in a water fall that shortly closed up.
Hunter approached D.R to help the furs but stopped" D.R." he said in a worried tone. "What is that on your leg?" D.R. turned to see the the a severed pink teniclal like tendril loosly griping his leg
Meanwhile Reel was swimming towards the furs not caring how deep he went since the could do the same portal stunt as D.R. to get back. But as he swam towards the furs, he noticed something clething grabbing their legs and that's when they got pulled quickly away from him being dragged into the darkness. Reel watch in shock now thinking that this isn't a rip tide. Reel open a portal to the beach but quickly felt a tendril like appendage tightly grab his legs and pulled him away from the portal with such force lost his breath.
Lily swimming gracefully down saw what happened the wolf as he got dragged down and made a dash for him. As she swam she felt a tingling sensation in her head which was her spider sense for danger. That unfortunately confirmed her suspicions.
Reel tried to take pry off the tendril but was feeling weak from the lack of air and was starting to lose consciousness. He looked forward saw what this tendril was attached to. He saw a giant serpent like creature with fish scales, wedded arms, circlar unblinking eyes, and the tendril that's draging Reel is one of it's many tounges thats pulling it's prey down into its gullet. Reel would try harder to fight the tendril but he now bearly had strength to keep his eyes open.
Lily swam to Reel and saw the tendril pulling him to the seapents maw. Lily dashed to grab Reel and slashed the tendril off with her strong claws the serpent roared as she hugged Reel tight to her body and swamed for it. She could see that Reel was drowning and without hesitation to save him she pulled his head to hers and pressed her mouth on his in a kissing fashion as she tried to blow air into his lungs.
Reel's eyes jumped opened as he felt the rush air entering his throat it took him a few seconds to process what's happening as he saw the pink tendrils approaching them from all sides. Reel looked up and opened a portal just right unfront of Lily.
Before she could even process what just appeared, Lily unintentionally swam through it falling onto the beach along with gallons of water that also flowed to portal which was shortly closed before serpent could reach it. Reel coughed what little water was in his lungs as Lily thought about the portal.
"Did you do that?" She asked "you're one of those reality benders aren't you?" Reel nodded as spitted out the rest of the sea water.
"Guess I should thank you for getting me out of there." She smiled
"You save my life you damn well bet I'm gonna return the favor?" Reel smiled back.
"I thought Reality benders can't die" Lily asked teasingly.
"Temporary deaths are still a thing. By the way the you're a good kisser...Lily? Was it?" Reel also teased which made her blush as they locked eyes with eacher other.
"Lily!" The otter head guard came ruining their moment." That's not everyone that went that got pulled under. Stop your chating and get back in there!"
"You need to order an evacuation!" Lily yells to her otter boss
"Yeah a giant sea serpent came to play Marco Polo" Reel said told him in a passive aggressive tone.
"Oh so one of your sea monster friends are here Lily." The otter crossed his arms.
"Okay now you're just being a..."
Suddenly the large sea serpent broke the surface of the water with a thumming roar. Looked at Reel, Lily, and the head guard Otter how was paralysised with fear and letted out it's many tendril like tongues at them along with other furs still remaining on the beach.
Lily and Reel ran away as the tendrils grab the the otter head guard pulling him into it carnivorous maw along with anyone else it manages to grab.
"Mommy" a little deer girl cryied out as the sea serpent launched more tendrils onto the beach and at her. Lily quickly ran at the little deer girl with Reel running shortly behind but before the either of them could reach her loud fleshy slash was heard.
The trendils reaching to girl were slicied clean off as the serpent moaned in pain. They turned an saw Hunter wielding a 7 foot long sword dripping with the serpent's blood. Hunter turned his head towards Reel
"I told you it was a good idea to bring Glory." He said with a cocky smile.
"For once I'm glad someone broke the no weapons rule." Lily replied with relief as lifted the deer girl with 4 of her arms.
"you 2 help get everyone out of here. Let me and D.R. worry about Dick face here." Hunter told them. Reel and Lily nodded ran to the other remaining furs while while Hunter ran towards the sea serpent "D.R. I'M GONNA NEED SOME FIREPOWER!" Hunter sceamed only to notice who the serpent's next victim was.
"Can't do it!" D.R. yells as he gets wrapped in the pink tendrils and gets quickly pulled into its maw. The serpent swallows the dragon with a huge buglge sliding down it's neck thashing as D.R. sqirms inside having the poor dragon joining same fate as all other furs it snatched up into it's belly.
"YOU GOTTA KIDDING ME!" Hunter screamed readying as he was getting serpent's attention. He readied his sword and smiled " well it's you and me Dick face. So... Make... My... DAY!" Hunter yells dashing at the serpent as it lets out more tendrils at Hunter but with one swift slash, Hunter severed all of the incoming tendrils. The Serpent roared in pain and retaliated with by swinging its massive claw down at him. Hunter saw it readly it's claw and shealth she sword taking a deep breathe. The Serpent slammed it's claw toward Hunter but right as it was about to touch him, Hunter pulled his sword into an upward slash cuting deeply into its hand. It hissed in pain and looked Hunter now believing it picked more the it bargained for. The Serpent turn and quickly retreated into the ocean.
"Oh don't think I'm afraid of the water!" Hunter sadistically yells as runs into water quickly swimming after it.
Lily and Reel saw the fight from with the other furs who manage to get a safe distance away." That guy is insane." She said wide shocked eyes.
"That guy is my landlord," Reel joked with sure smile.
"Bet you always pay your rent on time," Lily chuckled
"2 days early in fact," Reel continued but they were soon reminded of the crying deer child in Lily's arms. Lily put her down and tryied to and tried to confront her by softly stroking her with 4 of her hands. Reel bent down and my eye contact with her.
"Don't worry that Hunter is on of the strongest people I know. I'm fairly confident that he'll save your mother." Reel calmly told her with and asuring smile.
"Evey" a young adult buck got out of the car and approach them. "Evey! I heard what happened and came as soon as I could. Where's Mom." The little dear looked down sadly. "Don't worry Evey. We prepared for this" he picks her up and looks too Reel and Lily "thank you for whatching after my sister." They got in the car and drove off.
Hours later after everyone how survived the serpent attack was getting whatever they have left and head for home. Lily soon got her stuff and saw Reel leaning on a shack looking out into ocean as the sun set. "So what now what?" he asked.
"One of the other lifeguards e-mailed the beach owner about this. He gonna he's close off beach for week hire few a dragon hunters scout the water for any more leviathans. The remaining lifeguards will receive a paid vaction in the mean time. Not bad if it wasn't for the fact that a sea serpent attacked. Well I'm kinda happt my boss got eaten," she smiled.
"you probably won't be as happy when Hunter saves him" he laughed.
"So what you said to little girl? You really meant it?" She asked
"Yeah Hunter is one of the strongest dragon hunters in Carbonarrow figuratively and literary. He could beat that thing using only his feet if he wanted to. And besides that serpent ate my Brother who owes Hunter favors. So he damn well better save him if he wants to get his worth." Reel says with an assuring smile.
"So I'm guessing your waiting for them come back?" Lily asks with a smug grin.
"Actually...," Reel nervously paused. "I was waiting you," Lily tilted her a little curiously. "I kinda had a heck of a time with you out there and I was wondering if you would want to out?" He asked looking into Lily's dark eyes.
"Sure" she answered "but one condition."
"What?" He asked.
"I never got your name."
Reel's eyes widen with embarrassment that he never got to properly introduce himself to her. "Relic," he said "but I go by Reel."
"Well sure Relic" she smiled "I'll go out with you. We can go now."
"Now?" He asked confused." Don't you want to get ready 1st?" He asked as they started walking down the road.
"Make up won't sick to me and good luck finding any clothes with 6 arm holes in it. Anything in my wardrobe isn't as good as what I have on now."
"Yeah," he argeed, "come think of it suits are like the most uncomfortable thing for me. Besides going big and fancy is a little too much for a 1st date."
"Let's just take a walk around town. Hmmm the sky is starting to look very pretty tonight." Lily looked to the dark orange sky and saw a shooting star. "Take that as a good sign if I haven't seen one."

Btw incease if anyone is wondering a Dragon hunter is a mix of a cop, bounty hunter, forest ranger, investigator, and animal control. They are not a dragon a hate group so of you a dragon and you see one, you have nothing to worry about, unless you did something that make them wany to come after. They are called dragon hunter cause it was a dragon exclusive job however they opened to more species.

"Oh so one of your sea monster friends are here Lily." The otter crossed his arms.
"Okay now you're just being a..."
Suddenly the large sea serpent broke the surface of the water with a thumming roar. Looked at Reel, Lily, and the head guard Otter how was paralysised with fear and letted out it's many tendril like tongues at them along with other furs still remaining on the beach.
Lily and Reel ran away as the tendrils grab the the otter head guard pulling him into it carnivorous maw along with anyone else it manages to grab.
"Mommy" a little deer girl cryied out as the sea serpent launched more tendrils onto the beach and at her. Lily quickly ran at the little deer girl with Reel running shortly behind but before the either of them could reach her loud fleshy slash was heard.
The trendils reaching to girl were slicied clean off as the serpent moaned in pain. They turned an saw Hunter wielding a 7 foot long sword dripping with the serpent's blood. Hunter turned his head towards Reel
"I told you it was a good idea to bring Glory." He said with a cocky smile.
"For once I'm glad someone broke the no weapons rule." Lily replied with relief as lifted the deer girl with 4 of her arms.
"you 2 help get everyone out of here. Let me and D.R. worry about Dick face here." Hunter told them. Reel and Lily nodded ran to the other remaining furs while while Hunter ran towards the sea serpent "D.R. I'M GONNA NEED SOME FIREPOWER!" Hunter sceamed only to notice who the serpent's next victim was.
"Can't do it!" D.R. yells as he gets wrapped in the pink tendrils and gets quickly pulled into its maw. The serpent swallows the dragon with a huge buglge sliding down it's neck thashing as D.R. sqirms inside having the poor dragon joining same fate as all other furs it snatched up into it's belly.
"YOU GOTTA KIDDING ME!" Hunter screamed readying as he was getting serpent's attention. He readied his sword and smiled " well it's you and me Dick face. So... Make... My... DAY!" Hunter yells dashing at the serpent as it lets out more tendrils at Hunter but with one swift slash, Hunter severed all of the incoming tendrils. The Serpent roared in pain and retaliated with by swinging its massive claw down at him. Hunter saw it readly it's claw and shealth she sword taking a deep breathe. The Serpent slammed it's claw toward Hunter but right as it was about to touch him, Hunter pulled his sword into an upward slash cuting deeply into its hand. It hissed in pain and looked Hunter now believing it picked more the it bargained for. The Serpent turn and quickly retreated into the ocean.
"Oh don't think I'm afraid of the water!" Hunter sadistically yells as runs into water quickly swimming after it.
Lily and Reel saw the fight from with the other furs who manage to get a safe distance away." That guy is insane." She said wide shocked eyes.
"That guy is my landlord," Reel joked with sure smile.
"Bet you always pay your rent on time," Lily chuckled
"2 days early in fact," Reel continued but they were soon reminded of the crying deer child in Lily's arms. Lily put her down and tryied to and tried to confront her by softly stroking her with 4 of her hands. Reel bent down and my eye contact with her.
"Don't worry that Hunter is on of the strongest people I know. I'm fairly confident that he'll save your mother." Reel calmly told her with and asuring smile.
"Evey" a young adult buck got out of the car and approach them. "Evey! I heard what happened and came as soon as I could. Where's Mom." The little dear looked down sadly. "Don't worry Evey. We prepared for this" he picks her up and looks too Reel and Lily "thank you for whatching after my sister." They got in the car and drove off.
Hours later after everyone how survived the serpent attack was getting whatever they have left and head for home. Lily soon got her stuff and saw Reel leaning on a shack looking out into ocean as the sun set. "So what now what?" he asked.
"One of the other lifeguards e-mailed the beach owner about this. He gonna he's close off beach for week hire few a dragon hunters scout the water for any more leviathans. The remaining lifeguards will receive a paid vaction in the mean time. Not bad if it wasn't for the fact that a sea serpent attacked. Well I'm kinda happt my boss got eaten," she smiled.
"you probably won't be as happy when Hunter saves him" he laughed.
"So what you said to little girl? You really meant it?" She asked
"Yeah Hunter is one of the strongest dragon hunters in Carbonarrow figuratively and literary. He could beat that thing using only his feet if he wanted to. And besides that serpent ate my Brother who owes Hunter favors. So he damn well better save him if he wants to get his worth." Reel says with an assuring smile.
"So I'm guessing your waiting for them come back?" Lily asks with a smug grin.
"Actually...," Reel nervously paused. "I was waiting you," Lily tilted her a little curiously. "I kinda had a heck of a time with you out there and I was wondering if you would want to out?" He asked looking into Lily's dark eyes.
"Sure" she answered "but one condition."
"What?" He asked.
"I never got your name."
Reel's eyes widen with embarrassment that he never got to properly introduce himself to her. "Relic," he said "but I go by Reel."
"Well sure Relic" she smiled "I'll go out with you. We can go now."
"Now?" He asked confused." Don't you want to get ready 1st?" He asked as they started walking down the road.
"Make up won't sick to me and good luck finding any clothes with 6 arm holes in it. Anything in my wardrobe isn't as good as what I have on now."
"Yeah," he argeed, "come think of it suits are like the most uncomfortable thing for me. Besides going big and fancy is a little too much for a 1st date."
"Let's just take a walk around town. Hmmm the sky is starting to look very pretty tonight." Lily looked to the dark orange sky and saw a shooting star. "Take that as a good sign if I haven't seen one."

It's been awhile since i made a cannon story. Part 2 is in the works some characters will be.
Btw incease if anyone is wondering a Dragon hunter is a mix of a cop, bounty hunter, forest ranger, investigator, and animal control. They are not a dragon a hate group so of you a dragon and you see one, you have nothing to worry about, unless you did something that make them wany to come after. They are called dragon hunter cause it was a dragon exclusive job however they opened to more species.
