finished custom slizird design for shaneharper !! <3
slizirds are my own species!! they're like...a mixture of a snake and lizard and...cat with feathers...IDK..slizirds were something i had designed way back in the day during my DA days
they're an 'accessory' species. they're like companion pets for your OC and they burrow into their fur with their two dominant feathers sticking out! slizirds are tiny little things and they use their front long claws to hook onto their 'hosts'. I say hosts....for lack of another word, these bbys are NOT parasites! they dont suck blood.
this girl has some unique features not seen on common slizirds! The feathers on the head, cheek spikes, iridescent long claws and spines on the tail!!

the commissioner paid 25$ for this bby!! You just provide me with basic details like a preferred palette and i run with it! slizird designs are usually inspired by exisiting animals.
like shane told me she wanted sandy and cream colors with brown feathers and colorful tips. i searched for some good palettes and used diamondback and piebald boa snakes as my inspiration!
