A little something I doodled after reading about Playboy not doing cartoons and Nudes anymore, and since they where the ones that inspired me to start drawing.. well always felt I should doodle something up. (at least as I understand it, they are going back to the original way of things partially. still not adding cartoons though it seems)
So something for the writers as well, since I left this comic with no text for the story. so it's up to ya'll to decide on one.

Actually Playboy is the number 1 seller/publisher of science fiction.
But yes, it seems for the past year they where selling playboy magazines with no nudity and no Cartoons as I understand it. Sort of like Maxim or other such magazines which while helpful for artists, they are cheaper for the same material. So not surprised this year they went back to printing nudes, but still disappointed they haven't brought back cartoons to the magazine yet as I understand it.

The joke is really on the people that confused Playboy for things like Penthouse. Playboy was never one of the cover to cover skin magazines. It was always an upper-class urban lifestyle magazine that happened to have a couple nude photospreads and a centerfold model.
Back when I was 18 I learned this by buying a Playboy for the girls and discovering a couple pieces of decently written fiction, a home electronics review and a suggestion for a place to go on vacation.
And yes, back in the days of SF magazines, if you wanted to read the best science fiction you subscribed to Playboy because they paid about twice as much as Amazing Stories, Analog, etc. and thus got first pick of the top writers.
