Hehehe...so yeah, remember when I said I wouldn't be submitting any new art of Kat until I got the new design down? Welllll...I got it down. Ehehe.
Lemme explain the changes.
-The colors (Green, Blue, White, Black) are my power colors. So, I thought it best to incorporated them into my fursona.
-The wings- I missed the idea that Kat could fly. I've always wanted to fly, so I brought back the dragon in her. Theres also the whole idea of past lives and such, but I wont delve into that. Lets just say that the whole dragon part of Kat is spiritually important to me.
-The Hair- I've always wanted a "Duck Butt" hair cut, so I gave Kat one, and then decided to extend it down her back, in a type of mane. The Duck-butt hair cut is sort of a boyish hair do, which represents my tom-boyish change over the past couple months. I like being female, but I also don't like getting all spiffed up and slathered in make-up everyday for no reason, so I dress more tom-boyishly and separate myself from anything too girly-girlish.
The reason for this change was a post that jackalcandy on DA, made. She was talking about original fursona's and how most of the originals are ones that the creators sit down and actually think out. And yeah, Kat was always mine, from my own mind, but she never had anything that made her stand out, even over four years of development. So after reading what she wrote, I decided I really needed to pour my heart into my character and make her more that a "Sparkle-dog".
