Some *scritch-scratch* i did in between.
You know...when you are normally busy but just need some seconds to catch your breath and calm down?
And that is what happend..still trying to figure out how the dragon should look.
The interesting thing...the front paws. The *hand* is elongated ...just like what happend to a horse or a deer..the hand got longer, and one/two fingers formed a hove.
The bones in the hand got longer to make a more flexible leg, very useful when one has to clean and brush all these feathers. Because of the long thumb the dragon has to draw it up so it will not get hurt..like the velociraptor did with its claw.
Second...the legs/feet are also covered in feathers and when you walk on sand or snow the dragon walks on the whole hand.
The feathers are similiar to the one on the foot of a snow hen or the paws of a snow shoe hare, you spread the fingers, also the feathers and voila..you do not sink as deep in the ground as before.
And maybe in some thousand years or more the front legs will be a second set of wings.
I still have some problems with the tail...it has feathers that are used like the tail feathers of a bird.
The are on the whole lenght of the tail and i still need to work out how exactly that looks.
and the mane from the head to the end of the tail...that also helps with the steering, not just for show
I have the picture in my head but i can not get it on the cardboard
At least not yet..and iam working on a anatomical correct profile of the feathers with the attched blood vessels, the muscles and the living core of the feathers
