So a more final colored version of Ray here for you. You can see early concept designs here> http://www.furaffinity.net/view/23910152/ but I wanted to colorize him to see how his color themes would compare to the others.
When Ray emerged from a 30 year black out, he observed how the world has fallen into a divided country of citizens called Loyalists, and mutated people who reject the government who had been coined Raidies. While the memories of 30 years ago are a haze, he knows in his heart this is not how it's supposed to be. The explosion that caused this divide could've been prevented and the man ruling the country now is responsible for perpetuating the chaos for his own sick desires of perfection. Ray's only goal is to take out the reining government and reconnect it's fighting factions together. Most importantly make the bastard General suffer for his stupidity...
Ray is quite nihilistic but he was this way even before becoming a mutant. He has a sense of humor but it only is when someone is hurt. He's got a short temper that fires up at a drop of a hat if someone doesn't do what he says the 1st time. He appreciates it when you come up with a plan to cause mayhem. While he's heartless on the surface, he shows mercy only because he can tell you're not a threat to his goal. If he can convince you to stay out of his way or join him, there isn't reason for him to fight you. It takes him some time to remember that he was once human, and the people he's helping were also once considered human.
While the other mutants look more distorted and vile, he doesn't have as much animalmistic features because it'll play into the story as it goes along. He looks nothing like his previous self, and when he finds that out, he's amazed he's able to live out a fantasy for himself becoming a 'dark lord'. I'm still stuck on outfits, but I don't think I'm gonna keep him in the same attire every time we see him. Just a nice red-ish suit is what I got him in for now.
