Baked my first oven pancake. My mother used to make this when I was young. It contains flour, eggs, milk, butter, sugar, salt and love. ♥ It tastes rather like French toast, having many of the same ingredients.

Ingredients (all measurements are imperial):
* 3 warm eggs
* 1 cup warm milk
* 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
* 1 tablespoon sugar (optional)
* 1/4 teaspoon salt
* 4 tablespoons butter

Make sure milk and eggs are warm. Cold milk can be microwaved in under 1 minute. Cold eggs can be warmed in a bowl of hot tap water for 3-5 minutes.

Preheat oven to 450°F. Crack eggs into mixing bowl. Add sugar and salt. Whisk well (15 to 30 seconds). Add half of the milk. Whisk well. Add half of the flour. Whisk well. Add remaining flour. Whisk well. Add remaining milk. Whisk well. Put butter in 8×8-inch cake pan. Put pan in oven only until the butter is melted, then remove from oven. Gently drizzle contents of mixing bowl on top of melted butter in the pan, not trying to displace the butter. (Some butter will be displaced anyway. This is all right.) Bake for 15 minutes. Remove from oven. Allow pancake to deflate.

Serves four.
