While Ash and his companions in the Kalos region take a rest from traveling, all of their Pokemon get released to do their own thing. (Usually training or resting at least.) Ash's Pikachu does some training of his own before ending up getting mind-controlled by a certain talking Meowth into being his slave for the whole day.
